Concept Laser build a range of rapid manufacturing machines, for the direct manufacture of custom and complex geometries from 3D CAD data. Concept Laser specialise only in machines for building in metals, working directly with materials like: Titanium, Aluminium, Inconel, Cobalt Chrome, Stainless Steel, and a range of DIN standard tool steels.

The term rapid manufacturing is also referred to as Laser Sintering, Selective Laser Melting, rapid prototyping, 3D printing, etc. These terms relate to a technique to build complex and custom parts from 3D CAD models. To distinguish Concept Laser from other names they have registered the trademark LaserCUSING® which uses the words C from Concept and Fusing to denote melting, and combine them to make the term “cusing”.
The technique in the case of Concept Laser machines is the use of a metallic powder, and layer by layer build the fully melted part, using a single point fibre laser.
